Newborn & Lifestyle Family Photography - From First Bump to Fourth Baby
One of the most rewarding parts of being a Newborn and Family Photographer in Warwickshire is watching families grow and change over time. Some client relationships go far beyond a single photoshoot — they turn into a shared history of milestones, laughter, and love.
I first met Julia and Mark 11 years ago when they were expecting their first baby, Harry. That was the beginning of not only their parenting journey, but also a long-standing photographer–client relationship built on trust, comfort, and shared memories. Since then, I’ve been welcomed into their home for each new chapter: the arrival of Charlie (now 8), Oliver (now 4), and just this week, Heidi — at 7 days old.
Over the years, I’ve captured their story through Newborn Photography sessions, Lifestyle family shoots, and my seasonal family mini sessions. Each time, I’ve seen their love and connections deepen, and I’ve been privileged to preserve those memories in timeless photographs.
The Beauty of Long-Term Photographer–Client Relationships
When I step into Julia and Mark’s home now, there’s no awkward settling-in period. The children recognise me, the parents understand my style, and there’s a natural familiarity that allows genuine moments to unfold.
This trust means:
-
Consistent photography style – your albums flow beautifully over the years.
-
Comfort and connection – children are relaxed, leading to natural expressions.
-
Shared history – I know the unique bonds in your family and capture them intuitively.
Many of my Warwickshire, Leicestershire, and Birmingham clients come back year after year — and it’s these ongoing relationships that make the most heartfelt, authentic photographs.
Newborn Photography – Capturing the Earliest Days
For Heidi’s session, we began with my signature in-home newborn photography. This part of the shoot is calm, baby-led, and focused on keeping your newborn comfortable and safe. I capture all the tiny details — delicate eyelashes, curled fingers, and those fleeting early expressions that disappear so quickly.
These images are more than just photographs; they’re a way to pause time and remember exactly how your baby looked and felt in those precious first days.
Lifestyle Family Photography – Real Moments, Real Connections
After the Newborn portraits, we moved into a Lifestyle family photography session. This is where the whole family gets involved — siblings laughing together on the bed, parents soaking in the joy of their new arrival, and candid moments that tell your unique story.
Lifestyle photography is all about capturing the feeling of this moment in your life. It’s relaxed, unposed, and perfect for showcasing your family’s personality.
Why Start a Long-Term Relationship with Your Photographer?
This family’s journey is a beautiful example of how much more meaningful your photographs become when you work with the same photographer over time. From Harry’s Newborn shoot to Heidi’s arrival nearly 11 years later, their images tell a complete, connected story.
If you’re expecting a baby or looking to update your family photographs, consider starting that relationship now. Whether it’s a Newborn Photography Session, a Lifestyle Family shoot, or one of my Seasonal Mini Sessions, these are memories you’ll treasure for a lifetime.
Anneka Harden Photography – Capturing Warwickshire, Leicestershire & Birmingham families with warmth, patience, and timeless style.

I met Anneka after having my 3rd baby Sept 2020, we previously lived in Manchester so knew no photographers in and around Nuneaton. I was recommended her by a neighbour, looked up her work and decided to contact her. That was literally the best decision I ever made, not only did she manage to take the most incredible photos of my 3 girls (5, 10 months, 9 days) but she made us feel at ease, comfortable, (and it was just after a lot of covid restrictions were lifted but still living in those scarey times) yet she was so professional, friendly and such a perfectionist plus it wasn’t rushed, it was very laid back and we could feed baby when she needed it and not have to worry we would miss important photos. Since then we have seen her at least once a year for Christmas photos or family photographs, my girls now think she is apart of our family, they speak of her so fondly even thought they only see her for 30 min to 1 hour a year, she has left a lasting impression and impact on them. I’d highly recommend Anneka to anyone.
Thank you so much Lauren for your kind words. You are a very special family and i adore your girls.
